Mark Dudley
GYPSY JAZZ
Mark Dudley was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1983 and began playing guitar from the age of 11 years old. Immersing himself in various styles of music, Mark gained considerable experience throughout his teenage years playing in various rock, blues and alternative groups.
Throughout his late-teens and early twenties, Mark began immersing himself in gypsy jazz music and solo guitar playing and went on to support such artists as Pat McManus, Bruce Mathiske and Clive Carroll. In 2009, Mark gained a First Class Honours degree in Jazz guitar Performance and Composition from the Waterford Institute of Technology, Waterford City.
Mark is currently residing in Dublin and is actively teaching and performing in the area. He plays with the Dublin based Gypsy Jazz group Locoswing, alternative rock band Sive and various other projects.
